Workshop #1

Monday-Tuesday, July 6-7, 10-11:30 AM

Introduction to Soldering Circuits

Students will learn how to build circuits by "gluing metal", or soldering. We will practice safety, fixing solder mistakes, and proper soldering techniques. Each student will make a light-up toy to take home. No prior soldering experience required. This workshop is for Techie Tweens and Techie Teens, ages 8-14.

Monday-Tuesday, July 13-14, 10-11:30 AM

Introduction to Physical Computing

Physical computing is the practice of creating interactive systems that sense, process, and respond to the physical world using a combination of hardware and software. Students will use Micro:bits and block-based coding in a series of experiments. No prior coding experience necessary. This workshop is for Techie Tweens and Techie Teens, ages 8-14.

​​This is a drop-off program. Due to limited space, parents will need to leave their children. SA Techie Tots is a home-based learning pod located near Hwy 151 & Wiseman Blvd. The full address will be provided upon registration.​​​
