Kinder Kickstart
Program Overview
The San Antonio Techie Tots Kinder Kickstart is a Kindergarten-readiness program for children, ages 4-5*. This program is a home-based, drop-off program on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9:00am to 11:30am. This program is designed to help 4- and 5-year-olds get ready for Kindergarten in a fun, structured, and hands-on learning environment. It focuses on developing key academic, social-emotional, and physical skills needed to thrive in a school setting, whether that's public school, private school, or homeschool.
*Children must not be age 5 before September 1, 2025. This program is for pre-Kindergarten age children (4-year-olds) who are not yet eligible for Kindergarten.
Schedule
Classes will begin Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Classes will meet Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:00-11:30am, September 2025 through May 2026 with some days off for holidays and breaks.
Format
The program is drop-off only. Sessions will follow a structured routine, but the focus will be on interactive, play-based learning that mirrors a typical Kindergarten day.
Location
The Kinder Kickstart classes will be held in a safe, home-based learning environment. The home is located near Hwy 151 and Wiseman Blvd in NW San Antonio. The full address will be provided upon registration.
Learning Objectives
Our goal is for children to master at least 75% of the skills introduced, while recognizing that progress may vary depending on each child’s unique background and parental involvement.

Assessments
While we do not feel "tests" are appropriate at the pre-Kindergarten level, we’ll use a combination of observation, progress checklists, and parent feedback. In addition, we will perform a skills assessment for each child entering and exiting the Kinder Kickstart program. The assessment results will be provided to parents for FREE! Parental Involvement & Feedback
Families are an essential part of this program. Each week, parents will receive updates on their child’s progress and tips for reinforcing skills at home. We use the Brightwheel app to communicate student progress and share pictures from class. At the end of the program, we’ll host a celebration where children can showcase their work and reflect on their growth. Feedback will also play an important role. Parents will have opportunities to share input on what’s working well and what could improve through informal conversations and surveys.
Commitment
To maximize your child's success in the Kinder Kickstart program, we ask for your commitment for the whole school year, September 2025 to May 2026. We do understand that your circumstances may change, so please communicate with us if your child will not be able to complete the program. Consistent weekly attendance is also vital for academic progress and building and maintaining the peer group.
Tuition
The monthly tuition is $225. The price includes two 2.5-hour classes per week for a total of 8 classes per month. The monthly tuition will be prorated for holidays, breaks, and other closures. There is a one-time $25 registration fee for all new Techie Tots families. Upon registration, you will set up automatic monthly payments through the Brightwheel app using a debit or credit card or ACH.
Discounts
For Techie Tots families who enroll a sibling in another class, you will receive discounted tuition on the Kinder Kickstart program. For example, if you enroll one child in Science & Social Skills, the other child will receive 20% off the monthly tuition for Kinder Kickstart, reducing the price from $225 to $180 per month!
